Issues in Skin Cancer Practice

Provider: North West Private Hospital (Ramsay)

This evening workshop explores the real issues in any Skin Cancer Practice, including clinical management, interpretations of pathology reports and the medicolegal issues associated with these practices.

This is an interactive workshop on the important things to know about a skin cancer practice. In one evening, we will try to answer some of the issues surrounding skin cancer diagnosis, management and follow-up. What are the common medicolegal issues in this area of medicine? What are the critical things to check on a histopathology report? What’s an acceptable margin? When should we be concerned about misdiagnoses? How do we bill the surgical item numbers? What are our medicolegal responsibilities with regards to follow-up? You are more than welcome to submit interesting cases and questions for discussion prior to the workshop with your registration (all submissions will be confidential and all information should be de-identified). Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to ask the tricky questions.
