About

“Once you stop learning, you start dying.”

– Albert Einstein

Learning is a lifelong commitment and for all of us in Medicine, we have been there, done that and our profession seems to demand that we keep going. Life is a Classroom, and as doctors, it could mean a lot of different things, as there are so many aspects of Life that we get to see in our occupation. At Classroom4doctors, our goal is to encourage our colleagues to Live with Integrity, Learn to Educate ourselves and those around us, and to become respected Leaders in our Communities.

Classroom4doctors was founded by a group of volunteer specialists and GP’s. The idea came about in 2015 when we became heavily involved in educational events for doctors. We were presenting at conferences, running workshops and holding seminars at various events, with topics ranging from skin cancer surgery, pain management, trauma courses, as well as non-clinical topics such as discussion of medicolegal cases, private practice pearls, building resilience and much more.. Initially, classroom4doctors was an informal blog site we maintained for medical students, local GP’s, and various trainees groups to find out about all the local educational events for a variety of organisations. Over the last 3 years, it has evolved into a website for GP’s, Specialists, specialty trainees and medical students from all different faculties of medicine, Australia-wide, to facilitate interesting educational events in a vast variety of topics, not just those we are involved in, but also those provided by other reputable educational providers.

During COVID-19, Classroom4doctors has further evolved into an online education provider, and we now run educational webinars on both clinical and non-clinical topics for doctors, so all of us can continue to learn despite the social restrictions in place.

Classroom4doctors is a community fostered by doctors for doctors. It relies heavily on your feedback, what you want to learn and your ongoing interest in the events we publish. So, don’t be a stranger, let us know if you think there is a topic that may interest other doctors. Don’t forget to tell your colleagues about us. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @classroom4doctors to get regular updates on upcoming events.

Well, enough said, we hope to see you in Class!
